5 Questions with Mikael Liukas
1. Where were you/what did you do before working at Seriously?
Before Seriously, I was helping my sister run her company called Hello Ruby. It creates children’s story books about computers and technology. I was also busy studying part time at university.
2. What is your current role at Seriously?
My current title is Finance Manager. My umbrella of responsibilities includes accounting, payroll, financial reports, and audits.
3. What’s your favorite part about your job?
Working at a fast-growing international company in the gaming industry is a dream come true for me both professionally and personally! At the end of the day, it’s all about the amazing people I work with. In my role, I need to have at a basic understanding of all the departments and functions within the company, both in the US and in Finland, which means I get to work closely with everyone. So getting to work with such a talented and eager bunch of people makes my job so much easier and exponentially better.
4. Who is your favorite Fiend or Slug and why?
I love the buck-toothed Slug with its helpless demeanour. I especially like the Slugs’ outfits and accessories, and enjoy spotting all the little details, jokes, and Easter eggs that the Seriously team has hidden throughout the game.
5. When you are not working at Seriously or playing Best Fiends, what do you enjoy doing?
My girlfriend and I have a 5-month-old Boston Terrier puppy named Hilda, who is super energetic and more than happy to take any and all of the extra time I can spare. When I’m not going on walks or working on obedience training with her, I really enjoy cooking!
