5 Questions With…Chris Parish
1. Where were you/what did you do before working at Seriously?
Prior to Seriously, I ran user acquisition teams for a few other app developers, as well as a small agency of my own. I’m also a musician, so I toured around a bit, which I’m looking forward to getting back into now that my kids are older.
2. What is your current role at Seriously?
I’m the VP of Performance Marketing. I manage a team of outstanding marketing minds working to drive engaged users into our portfolio of games. It’s been great seeing our team’s success grow as we employ learnings from our data science team combined with new technology. I also manage our business partners who provide the ad inventory for Best Fiends.
3. What’s your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part about working at Seriously is the opportunity I’ve had to meet so many talented people, especially in Helsinki. The work they do and the ideas they come up with always amazes me. I wouldn’t be able to do what I do successfully without having an amazing product to deliver to our audience. Across Seriously, there’s a strong sense of community wherein we’re all rooting for each other and are really proud of our games. I feel really lucky to be a part of the team.
4. Who is your favorite Fiend or Slug and why?
I’d say probably Beebert because he’s a cool cat like myself. Every one of his stages has a new pair of glasses and I love that detail our design team added to his character development.
5. When you are not working at Seriously or playing Best Fiends, what do you enjoy doing?
If I can manage to tear myself away from Best Fiends, I enjoy cooking as much as possible. I have a couple of smokers in the backyard along with a grill, and it’s a great way to spend any weekend. I also coach my daughter’s softball team, and managing twelve six-year olds is a fun way to test my superhuman level of patience.
