5 Questions with Tomi Hautala
1. Where were you/what did you do before working at Seriously?
I’m a cinematographer by trade, so prior to Seriously I was working in a wide array of different media jobs from filming commercials, music videos and documentaries to being part of the lighting crew for fiction films.
2. What is your current role at Seriously?
I’m a game tester for the original Best Fiends game. Basically my job is to test all of the new features of the game from new Fiends to new levels in order to be sure that they work as intended. If not, then I will file a bug report, which goes to the game developers so that they can fix the problem. My ultimate goal is to make sure our players have a great user experience!
3. What’s your favorite part about your job?
At Seriously, the team, the talent, and the dedication are incredible and motivational. Being able to work with such amazing people is always rewarding. But even more rewarding to me is ensuring the highest quality game for all our users and delivering the most polished product possible for them.
4. Who is your favorite Fiend or Slug and why?
That’s a hard one, but I would say any of the Fiends from the depths of the ocean, like Bo! I’ve always found sea life fascinating.
5. When you are not working at Seriously or playing Best Fiends, what do you enjoy doing?
Even though I’m not very good at it, I really enjoy cooking. I also love nature, so being outdoors, exploring forests, and listening to the sounds of wildlife makes me really happy.
