5 Questions with Zoran Roso
1. Where were you/what did you do before working at Seriously?
With the exception of a few excursions in other industries like the energy sector, I have always been firmly rooted in the Entertainment & Gaming industry with companies such as Rockstar Games, Blizzard, Activision, and Sony Music & PlayStation to name a few. Brands I’ve worked on include GTA, World of Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, Guitar Hero, Destiny, Uncharted, Gran Turismo, Spider-Man, Transformers, James Bond and many more.
2. What is your current role at Seriously?
In my role as Marketing Director & Country Lead DACH, my mission is first and foremost to get Germany, Austria and Switzerland the proper Best Fiends treatment and to grow the markets through the right mix of marketing activities. Beyond that, I’m in charge of all other things German, such as language localization and connecting Seriously with the German game development scene. There’s of course a ton of other things to do, like setting up an office in Munich (did anyone say Oktoberfest?).
3. What’s your favorite part about your job?
My favourite part so far has been getting to know so many new and truly gifted and exciting personalities at Seriously. It is refreshing to see so much passion and positive professional attitudes at the workplace. Plus, I love how after almost 20 years in the gaming industry, I can literally learn new things everyday while also being able to contribute!
4. Who is your favorite Fiend or Slug and why?
I love Brittle because of her positive attitude and energy that she brings to the table. However, I secretly adore the Slugs as they are just too much fun to watch when you see them fail and get back up nonetheless.
5. When you are not working at Seriously or playing Best Fiends, what do you enjoy doing?
Second to spending time with my family, I have been a huge comic book nerd since the 80’s, and I can get stuck in exciting stories and fantastic worlds for hours. Some of my all-time favourites are “Books of Magic” by Neil Gaiman and “Superman for All Seasons” by Jeph Loeb. Go check them out if you haven’t done so yet!
