1. Where were you/what did you do before working at Seriously?
Prior to joining the Seriously team, I was a software developer and programmer at several different companies in various industries, including Bulletin of Real Estate, Exigen Services, Paf and Crosskey. I first got into gaming as a lead programmer for Digital Chocolate.
2. What is your current role at Seriously?
I’m a Senior Server Programmer on the tech team. I work on a lot of the common cross-gaming services that you experience when playing Best Fiends.
3. What’s your favorite part about your job?
Lucky for me, my favorite part of my job is the only part of my job, and it’s programming :). I love having creative freedom, as well. I can test different technologies and even develop entirely new ones to make sure we are always providing our Best Fiends players with the best quality service.
4. Who is your favorite Fiend or Slug and why?
Kwincy is my favorite Fiend – he just looks so amazing! But I’ll make a confession: when I’m playing the game I prefer to use Lapoleon because I love using bombs.
5. When you are not working at Seriously or playing Best Fiends, what do you enjoy doing?
I love to stay active when I’m not in the office. I’m actually a long distance runner, and I’ve participated in several marathons. My personal best race was a marathon I ran in Tallinn, Estonia, in 2017, but I’m always looking to improve! I love cycling, too. Back in 2016, I did a 300km Vättenrundan race in Sweden. I’ve also done a few triathlons. This year I’m planning to run the Riga marathon in May, Helsinki half marathon in June, IronMan Lahti in June, and as many other races as I can get to throughout the remainder of 2018.
