5 Questions With…Erno Kanko
1. Where were you/what did you do before working at Seriously?
Before joining Seriously, I was a freelancer working on illustrations, photography, video and designs for various people and projects. Prior to freelancing, I worked at Helsinki Youth Services teaching Photoshop, photography and video editing skills and helping with media related projects. In school, I studied game art and design. While there, two friends and I created and published our first mobile game.
2. What is your current role at Seriously?
I’m a Junior Game Tester for Best Fiends. I focus on testing levels to ensure they work as the designers planned it. I make sure the levels are both fun to play and challenging for our players.
3. What’s your favorite part about your job?
I think the best part about my job is seeing a variety of different design styles. Each of the level designers have a unique style to create levels and make them better and better. I’m lucky to be one of the first people to play these levels.
4. Who is your favorite Fiend or Slug and why?
Bam is my favourite Fiend because of the range and attitude. Devourer is the best Slug because it can be so tough to beat with those munchy munchers jumping around creating an extra challenge.
5. When you are not working at Seriously or playing Best Fiends, what do you enjoy doing?
In my free time I enjoy creating art without boundaries and rules, just as I like. If I’m not doing art related projects, I play games and hangout with friends.
